We started in 2007 from a rented back office on Pontcanna Street in Cardiff. Nearly 20 years later, we have grown into one of the leading independent property groups in South Wales and Bristol, and we are still owned and run by the same family.
What began as a small sales and lettings business has grown steadily through a combination of hard work, good people and, most importantly, recommendations from clients.
Today, JeffreyRoss operates from 9 offices across Cardiff, the Vale of Glamorgan, Caerphilly and Bristol, covering residential sales, lettings and property management, alongside specialist services across auctions, surveying, mortgages and protection.
Despite that growth, the way we run the business has changed very little.
We believe good estate agency comes down to knowledgeable people giving clear, straightforward advice.
If we think a property is worth a certain figure, we will tell you. If we think an offer is worth accepting, we will tell you that too. Our job is not simply to tell clients what they want to hear, it is to use our experience to help them make the right decision.
That approach has helped us build long-standing relationships with sellers, landlords and buyers across the areas in which we operate. A significant proportion of our business comes through recommendations and repeat clients, something we are particularly proud of.
The same people, years later
Property is ultimately a people business, and many of the people who helped build JeffreyRoss are still part of the business today.
Several members of our team have been with us since the early years, with some progressing from their original roles to become senior managers and directors within the group.
That continuity matters. It means our clients benefit from experienced people who know the local market, know the business and, in many cases, have spent years looking after the same families, landlords and properties.
Family run, professionally built
Ross founded the business in 2007 after starting his career with a national estate agency. His twin brother Elliott joined shortly afterwards to develop the residential sales side of the business, and their parents were also closely involved in helping establish the company during its early years.
The business has remained family owned ever since.
Over the years we have expanded into new areas, opened additional offices and brought other established local businesses into the group, but we have deliberately retained the independent culture on which JeffreyRoss was built.
We want each of our offices to feel local, because they are. Our teams live and work in the communities they serve and understand the differences between individual streets, neighbourhoods and markets, knowledge that cannot be replicated by an algorithm or a national call centre.

Our story
From one Cardiff office to nine
From one rented office on Pontcanna Street to nine across two cities. Some of the steps below are not yet dated — a year invented to fill a gap would be worse than the gap.
- 2007
Pontcanna
The business begins from a small rented office on Pontcanna Street, initially specialising in residential lettings across Cardiff.
- 2009
Roath
As the business grows, Elliott joins to develop residential sales and a second office opens on Wellfield Road.

The following years
JeffreyRoss continues to expand across Cardiff, adding new offices and strengthening both its sales and lettings businesses.

The Vale of Glamorgan
Expansion into Penarth and Barry gives the group a permanent presence across the Vale.

Caerphilly
The group expands north of Cardiff, bringing an established local Caerphilly agency into JeffreyRoss.

Bristol
Expansion across the Severn establishes JeffreyRoss in Bristol, initially through The Property Outlet and its established lettings and sales business.

Meet the team
Most of our business comes from recommendation, and that is really about the people. All 62 of them, by office — the ones who will value your home, run your viewings and see the sale through.
Property is personal
The business is considerably bigger than it was in 2007, but our aim is the same.
Know the market. Employ good people. Give clients straightforward advice. And do a good enough job that they recommend us to somebody else.
That is how JeffreyRoss was built, and it remains how we intend to grow it.
