Every home sold in the Brislington East and Brislington West wards (within BS4 3, BS4 4, BS4 5) in the twelve months to April 2026, not only ours. The change compares each kind of home against its own kind a year earlier — detached against detached, flats against flats — because a median follows what happened to sell as much as what it is worth. Living in Brislington

Brislington sits on the south-eastern edge of Bristol, along the Bath Road, and is one of the more affordable parts of the city to buy a proper family house. Most of the housing is interwar and post-war semi-detached — gardens, garages and off-street parking are ordinary here, which is not true of the Victorian neighbourhoods closer in.

Nightingale Valley and the woods around St Anne’s give the area more green space than its position suggests, and Arnos Vale cemetery on the western edge has become a park in its own right.

The A4 runs straight into the centre and out towards Bath, and the park and ride sits on the eastern side for anyone who would rather not drive in.

What sells here

Space is what brings people here from BS3 and BS4, and three bedroom semis are the heart of what they buy. Bungalows and larger detached houses towards the eastern edge are scarcer and hold their prices well.
