Every home sold in the 53 postcode sectors listed above, in the twelve months to April 2026, not only ours. The change compares each kind of home against its own kind a year earlier — detached against detached, flats against flats — because a median follows what happened to sell as much as what it is worth. Living in Bristol

Jeffrey Ross covers Bristol through two offices — Filton Road in Horfield to the north, and North Street in Southville to the south — and the two markets are genuinely different.

North Bristol runs from the Victorian and Edwardian terraces of Bishopston and Horfield out to the interwar and post-war housing of Filton and Northville, with Southmead Hospital, UWE and the aerospace employers driving a lot of the demand.

South of the river, Southville, Bedminster and Brislington have changed markedly over the past decade, and North Street is now one of the city’s better-known independent high streets.

What sells here

Both halves of the city turn on the same stock: two and three bedroom terraces. In the north, proximity to the Gloucester Road and to the hospital and university sites matters most; in the south, walkability to North Street does the same job.
