Every home sold in the Heath ward (within CF14 4) in the twelve months to April 2026, not only ours. The change compares each kind of home against its own kind a year earlier — detached against detached, flats against flats — because a median follows what happened to sell as much as what it is worth. Living in Heath
The Heath is defined by two things: the park and the hospital. Heath Park is a large, wooded public park with a miniature railway that has run through it for generations, and the University Hospital of Wales sits immediately beside it as the largest hospital in the country.
The housing is mostly interwar and post-war semi-detached, generously sized by Cardiff standards, with gardens front and back and parking on most streets. Birchgrove to the west has a similar character and its own small parade of shops.
Two stations — Heath High Level and Heath Low Level — sit within a few hundred metres of each other, which makes the centre and the northern suburbs equally easy, and Whitchurch and Llanishen are both close.
What sells here
Semis of three and four bedrooms are the core of the market, bought by families and by hospital staff who want to be able to walk to work. Proximity to the park and to the hospital both lift prices, and larger houses suitable for sharing hold their own separate demand.
