Living in Llandaff North
Llandaff North sits on the eastern bank of the Taff, across the river from Llandaff itself and south of Whitchurch. The housing is mostly late-Victorian and Edwardian terraced, built along the railway, and it is a good deal more affordable than the cathedral side of the water.
Hailey Park runs along the river — a long stretch of playing fields and riverside path, and the best thing about the area for most of the people who live here. The Taff Trail passes through it towards the barrage in one direction and Castell Coch in the other.
Llandaff station is on the Coryton line, and the walk over the bridge puts the cathedral, the green and Llandaff’s shops a few minutes away.
What sells here
First-time buyers and young families buy nearly all of it, and nearly all of it is a two or three bedroom terrace. The streets backing onto Hailey Park and those nearest the bridge achieve the strongest prices.
